BLACK STUDENT UNION, LATINAS LEAD, UNITY
Members of Black Student Union, Latinas Lead, and UNITY attended the Young Women of Color Symposium at Loyola Academy! The theme this year was Unapologetically Me.
MACS LEAD, AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB, & INTRAMURALS
On March 6, 2022, the McAuley Mighty Macs and Br. Rice Crusaders participated in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge, an annual fundraiser that benefits Special Olympics and its athletes. Together, their team plunged into the cold waters of Lake Michigan and raised $15,000 for this important cause!
MOCK TRIAL
The members of the Mock Trial Club competed in a mock trial competition at the Markham Courthouse on Wednesday, April 27. Members utilized the trial advocacy skills they have learned throughout the year to put on a criminal case presided by Judge Brian Flaherty. Assistant State’s Attorneys Kathryn Morrissey ‘86 and Kathleen Roberts ‘97 along with Judge Dan Maloney served as the evaluators for the competition. Special thanks to State’s Attorney Katie Siefet ‘02 and Eileen Flaherty Knightly ‘01 for moderating the club and preparing the students all year long for this competition!
