Disney World - Summer 2016
The Brother Rice & Mother McAuley Band traveled to Disney World last summer, where they marched down the Magic Kingdom's Main Street in the pre-parade before the popular Electrical Parade.

Our Chorus students were part of the Pueri Cantores Childrens Congress 2015, where they enjoyed the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing for the Pope over Christmas break. Read more...

Washington D.C. - Summer 2014
The Brother Rice and Mother McAuley Band was selected as the only marching band to represent the State of Illinois in America’s National Independence Day Parade on July 4, 2014. Almost 100 members of the band performed in the parade. In addition, they were asked to choose students to participate in the presentation of the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington Cemetery. One McAuley girl and one Rice boy completed the honors.

Ireland - Spring 2014
Students from any level chorus or strings class were eligible to participate in this trip. While there, they had the chance to sight-see; visit with local musicians; participate in either a choir clinic with Mr. David Leigh, Director of the Girl’s Choir at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, or a strings clinic with Alan Smale of the RTE National Symphony Orchestra; visit Mercy Secondary School, a high school operated by the Sisters of Mercy, where the students from the two countries performed for each other; perform in the National Museum of Ireland and the Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin; and visit Baggot Street, where the Sisters of Mercy was started.
