Our Art Department has traveled the country and the world, visiting world-famous museums and architectural sites. This opportunity expands our students' knowledge of art and art history, and allows them to feel the power of these works in person.
Italy - Summer 2014 & 2015
Art and language students took part in a nine day cultural adventure through Italy. They saw the Roman Forum, Colosseum, Fountain of Trevi, The Vatican and Vatican museums in Rome, then moved on to Florence, Venice (where they attended an amazing glass blowing demonstration, Mass at the Basilica of San Marco and took a gondola ride through the canals), and spent a day in the exquisite hills of Assisi, where they had a city tour, and visits to the beautiful frescoes in the Basilicas of St. Francis and St. Clare.
