How can I learn more about McAuley?
Students are encouraged to make arrangements to visit McAuley through our Shadow Day Program.

Who is allowed to participate in the Shadow Day Program?
7th and 8th grade girls who are considering attending McAuley are welcome.

When do I register for a Shadow Day?
Parents must register their daughter at least three school days prior to a visit by either completing the Shadow Day program application located on our website, www.mothermcauley.org, or by calling the Recruiting Office at 773-881-6566.

What are the McAuley School colors?
The McAuley school colors are red, white and gold.

What are the McAuley Open House Dates?
McAuley has two (2) open houses during the fall. They are scheduled for Sunday, October 23, 2011 from noon-2:30 p.m. and for Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 6:00 –8:30 pm

When is the McAuley entrance exam?
The entrance exam is scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 8:00 a.m.


What do I need to bring to the entrance exam?
Please bring two #2 lead pencils and a pen for the exam.

Are Calculators allowed?

Do I need any money on the exam day?
Yes, the entrance exam fee is $25.00. Also, our bookstore will be open on testing day.

Do I need to register before the test?
There is no pre-registration required for the entrance exam.

How long does the test take?
The test typically takes 4 hours.

What type of test does McAuley use?

When should I receive my results?
All of the high schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago mail the results on the same day. You should receive your results in mid February.

Can 7th graders take the entrance exam?
No, the entrance exam is only offered to 8th graders.

Is McAuley a college prep school?
Yes, 100% of McAuley's graduates were accepted into college.

What intramural programs are offered to McAuley students?
McAuley offers ultimate Frisbee, basketball, volleyball, softball, dodgeball, bowling (all levels), flag football (seniors) as intramural sports.
