On National Testing Day, all freshmen, sophomores and juniors will be taking either the PLAN test for 9th graders, the PLAN test for 10th graders or the PSAT for juniors. It is extremely important that our students take these national tests seriously. Many scholarships are awarded based on good test performance. All of the girls' teachers will be emphasizing various test-taking strategies in their classes during the next few weeks. It is very important that the girls eat a good breakfast on the testing day. In addition, the girls should be encouraged to get a good night's sleep the night before the testing day.
We do not want our students to be stressed on the testing date. We encourage them to be focused, to stay calm and to do their very best.
We have provided a link to the "Making it Count" website for parents. This website offers many suggestions for parents and clear summaries of the various tests. In addition, we have also provided links to the AP College Board.com site as well as the ACT.org website. These websites offer many suggestions for parents, practice test questions for the students and clear summaries of the various national tests.
