McAuley Choir Spends New Year's Eve Singing for Pope in the Vatican
Posted 01/09/2016 09:28AM

From December 26 - January 2, approximately 50 McAuley students were in Rome, Italy, along with students from Brother Rice. While abroad, they had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing for Pope Francis during the Pueri Cantores, a concert performed by grammar school and high school choirs. Senior Caitlin Hennessy was chosen to meet the Pope, who blessed her and gifted her with a rosary. In addition to this experience, the students were in a choir for Mass at St. John Lateran, performed in the special Honor Concert with choirs from Korea, Germany and France, and visited many famous sites.

Hear about Caitlin's experience in this article from the Daily Southtown.
