McAuley Volleyball Coach Nancy Pedersen
to be inducted into Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame

CHICAGO, IL – On Thursday, September 23rd, the Chicagoland Sports Hall of Fame will be hosting its annual buffet dinner, at which time 12 people will be inducted into the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2004.

Among those being inducted is Nancy Pedersen, Head Volleyball Coach and Athletic Director at Mother McAuley High School. Since 1983,
Pedersen’s winning volleyball legacy at McAuley includes 19 Conference titles, 22 Regional titles and 8 state championships. Compiling an outstanding career record of 748-108 through the 2003-4 season, she holds numerous Illinois coaching records, and was named the NFICA National Coach of the Year in 1998.
