Mother McAuley 50th Anniversary Weekend Celebration
Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School will commemorate its 50th Anniversary during a weekend long celebration on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26. McAuley invites alumnae, parents, and friends to join us in celebrating this historic occasion.
Saturday evening festivities include an Art Exhibit and Auction with student, alumnae and faculty artwork. There will also be theme areas featuring a Chocolate Bar, a Martini Bar, and Sports Bar; dancing; reunions for the classes of 1965/66, 1975/76, 1980/81, 1985/86, 1995/96 and 2000/01; a Memorabilia Center and much more. The party, open to anyone 21 and older, is from 6 to 11 p.m.
Sunday afternoon will focus on the school’s Mercy heritage and the life of Catherine McAuley, foundress of Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School. The afternoon will begin at noon with a Celtic Mass in McAuley’s Auditorium, followed by tea and refreshments and the “Why We Tell the Story” theatre presentation. Tours of the school will be available after the theatre presentation.
