Mother McAuley Celebrates Women's History Month

The annual Mother McAuley High School spring luncheon and fashion show, Rock Around the Clock was held Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the Oak Brook Drury Lane. Mothers Club President Diane Dalcamo chaired the event with fashions from Kimberly Bond Boutique in Orland Park, That Girl Boutique in Worth, My Sister and Me Boutique in Frankfort and Hansen’s Villa in Manhattan. The men’s fashions were provided by Mal’s Men Shop in Evergreen Park and Dunhill Tuxedos in Frankfort. In honor of McAuley’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, McAuley alums, Trish Biondo (Orland Park) Jennifer Ligda Busk (Evergreen Park), Winifred Gardner Lidga (Evergreen Park), Julie Kulikauskas (Chgo., West Lawn), Carrie Peterson Alifantis, Sue McCloskey Barnett (Chgo., Beverly), Vicki DiFillipo, Judy Muraida DiFillipo, Cathy Glancey Scully (Orland Park) and Amanda Giordano (Palos Hills) joined current seniors Kristen Smith (Orland Park), Amy Preston (Chgo., West Lawn), Diane Dalcamo (Chgo., Bridgeport), Vanessa Macias (Orland Park), Kylie Micetic (Chgo., Beverly), Gabriela Mendez, Sarah Rimkus (Chgo., West Lawn), Rebecca Strocchio (Chgo., West Lawn), Jena Shay Watson (Chgo), Katy Daker (Chgo., Beverly), Ellie Rielly (Chgo., Beverly), Mary Kate Holland (Chgo., Beverly), Kara Gavin (Chgo., Beverly), |

Fashions from each decade since the school was founded in 1956 were shown. Students and their mothers especially enjoyed seeing their friends in a special portion of the show that was dedicated to prom and graduation dresses. Seniors modeling prom dress were escorted by senior students from Brother Rice and St. Rita High Schools and the graduation dress models were escorted by their fathers. Proceeds from the Annual Mothers Club Fashion Show and Luncheon go the operating expenses of the school. |
