Dr. Angelica Sanchez '07

In her senior year at Mother McAuley, Angelica worked at a dental office and instantly knew she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating from McAuley in 2007, she completed her undergraduate degree at Saint Xavier University in 2011 and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2015. Angelica has worked in private practices in Chicago and the suburbs of Chicago. While she has treated patients of various backgrounds, the majority of patients she has served are Spanish speaking. Generally, many individuals do not like going to a dental office, and many dislike it that much more when there is a lack of communication. She believes that being able to speak to patients in a language they understand creates a new level of comfort and dental education. In 2024, Dr. Sanchez served as the Southwest Branch President of the Chicago Dental Society and also became a practice owner. For the last year and a half, Dr. Sanchez has been running her own all-female dental practice. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and Hispanic Dental Association.

Dr. Sanchez's piece of advice for Mighty Macs: Immerse yourself and do not be afraid to participate in class, events, clubs, sports, etc. The more experiences you have, the more you learn and grow. What you learn at McAuley is truly a foundation that you will expand upon.
