Melissa was awarded the Heather Ginden Aviator Award of Excellence, in honor of Heather Ginden, a teacher at A.E.R.O. This award is given to a staff member who demonstrates exceptionality, leadership, innovation, and positivity. Melissa shared, "I was honored to have been nominated by my peers for this award and selected as the recipient by my administration. Winning this award means so much to me. I absolutely love what I do! I have devoted the last 15 years of my life to teaching. I taught in general education early childhood for 8 years, and I am now in my 8th year teaching in early childhood special education." Hard works pays off, way to go Melissa!
