A MIGHTY Celebration

A MIGHTY Celebration

On Thursday, March 27, members of the Mother McAuley community gathered to celebrate what it truly means to be a Mighty Mac at Celebration 2025. Hosted at the University Club, just steps from where the Sisters of Mercy began their incredible work in Chicago nearly 180 years ago, the event highlighted the resilience, ambition and unwavering strength that define our students, alumnae, and the entire McAuley community. We stand on the enduring values of the Sisters of Mercy, and together, we embody their legacy.

We were thrilled to have our President, Carey Temple Harrington ‘86, honor our Life Trustee, Anne Edwards-Cotter ‘73, and the recipients of the Catherine McAuley Leadership Award: Margie King Elias ‘83, Jennifer "Gigi" King Pappas ‘84, Beth King Furlong ‘85, Kathleen King Buck ‘87, Kristen King Prendergast ‘96, Maura King Finn ‘97, and Molly King Samansky ‘04. These remarkable women are shining examples of what it means to be women of Mercy.

Every dollar raised during the evening directly supports the McAuley Fund, which sustains vital programs in academics, arts, technology, athletics, campus ministry and financial aid. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we can continue our mission to empower young women to change the world. The event also featured our Mission Moment video (found below), where students shared what makes McAuley so special.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made Celebration 2025 possible. From our dedicated committees, sponsors and staff who contributed their time and energy. Your support makes this event both special and impactful.

Your generosity is what allows us to empower the next generation of Mighty Macs.
