Congratulations to alumna Comfort Agboola '04, who was recently honored with the prestigious $25,000 Milken Educator Award!
The award is often described as the "Oscars of Teaching" and recognizes just 75 educators across the country! Comfort is this year's sole recipient in the state of Illinois, and the first Chicago Public Schools teacher to be honored in 13 years.
Comfort received the Milken Educator Award for fostering student engagement and building young storytellers as a 6-8th grade Reading, ELA, and Math teacher. We are MIGHTY proud to highlight an alumna, like Comfort, who is carrying out the Mercy values of Mother McAuley!
