Members of the UNITY Community club encouraged students to create paper lanterns today during lunch to celebrate the Chinese New Year. One way that the Chinese New Year is celebrated is with a Lantern Festival. It honors deceased ancestors on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar (new year) calendar. The Lantern Festival aims to promote reconciliation, peace, and forgiveness. These lanterns will be displayed in the Dining Hall.

McAuley competed in their first ever Scholastic Bowl meet on Tuesday, November 7. Varsity kicked off the meet with a win in their first round against Mount Carmel. Junior Varsity ended the meet with a win in their round against St. Rita. Congrats to these Mighty Macs!
