Our Mighty Macs have been busy in the city!
Engineering students visited Bigane Paving Company Asphalt Plant. They learned about the process of creating asphalt and careers in the field. Thank you to McAuley alumna, Anne Bigane Wilson '76, for hosting!
The Daniel P. Haerther Scholars partner with the Shedd Aquarium to participate in their Action Day at LaRabida Beach Front. Our scholars joined in on a beach clean up and learned the importance of conservation and keeping our great lakes safe and clean.
Latinas Lead took a field trip to Pilsen to visit the National Museum of Mexican Art, followed by a mural tour around the adjacent blocks. They finished with lunch at a local restaurant.
Mac Media visited Lewis University Television Network. They got to explore the beautiful facilities and see the Lewis Team in action!
The Brother Rice and Mother McAuley Band performed in the Chicago Columbus Day Parade.
Chorus I took a field trip to see Fiddler on the Roof at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
AP Bio and Environmental Science students from Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Vail's classes visited McClaughry Springs Woods and tested water samples.
Members of Cross Country and Macs LEAD volunteered with Special Olympics Chicago, passing out water to the athletes in the Chicago Marathon!
