McAuley celebrates the commencement ceremony for the Class of 2023

On Sunday, May 21, the Class of 2023 donned their white gowns and received their diplomas, joining our community of more than 28,750 alumnae. These young women walked across the stage with a strong sense of self, an appreciation of our Mercy values, and gratitude for the friendships and experiences that will carry them through college and careers. Already accomplished, they possess the confidence and knowledge to achieve anything!

Infused in the liberal arts, Mother McAuley’s academic curriculum centralizes on six key interdisciplinary skills found throughout all disciplines — from Science and Math to English and World Languages to Music and the Visual Arts. The graduating seniors with top honors and distinctions are:

  • Ciara Hosty '23Valedictorian - attending the University of Notre Dame
  • Cathryn Schultz '23Salutatorian - attending the University of Illinois
  • Colleen Malloy '23, Sister Brian Costello Scholarship Award Winner - attending Xavier University
  • Eileen McInerney '23Student Speaker - attending Moraine Valley Community College
