Happy Mercy Day!

Happy Mercy Day!

Yesterday, we had such a wonderful all school ceremony celebrating the legacy of Catherine McAuley. The program began by presenting the Catherine McAuley Award to senior Ciara Hosty and faculty member Jen Novosel Callahan '02, followed by a skit performed by our theatre students, sharing the story of the Sisters of Mercy.

The celebration ended with our traditional dance to "Why we Tell the Story" from Once on This Island. This dance has been performed every year since 2000!

A special shout-out to our neighbors, the Sisters of Mercy, who joined us for the ceremony.

MMc & BR Band/Orchestra Nashville Trip

Mother McAuley & Brother Rice Band and Orchestra students traveled to Nashville over Spring Break for an incredible trip full of music.

Our Mighty Macs visited the Grand Ole Opry, recorded at RCA Studio B (the same studio used by Elvis, Dolly Parton, Chet Atkins, and so much more), performed at the National Museum of African American Music, saw Elvis Presley's Piano, and even spotted a celebrity along the way!

They also met with employees from Morton to learn about career and internship opportunities! Thank you to our generous Haerther Trustees for hosting this great event - we are blessed!
