Mother McAuley and Brother Rice Salute Our Veterans

Mother McAuley and Brother Rice gathered together on November 11 for a meaningful Veterans Day Prayer Service. It was a powerful opportunity for our communities to express profound gratitude for the bravery, service, and dedication of our nation's veterans.

We were especially honored to hear from two incredible speakers from our school communities: Mary Claire Youpel '08 - ENS NOAA Corps; and Mr. J.J. Konstant (BR '99) - Marine Captain, retired.

Both schools also worked together to create a Peace Forest that consisted of names and prayers for veterans and active military members. The 99th street schools also worked together to gather donations of toiletries to benefit veterans at the Jesse Brown Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Thank you to all veterans and active military members for your courage and commitment to this country!

Special thanks to Marquette Bank, Illinois Partners in Hope, & The Port Ministries for partnering with us on this meaningful day of service and spirituality.
