General Information

Counseling Services

The Counseling Department facilitates a comprehensive counseling program that holistically addresses student needs by supporting development in three areas: social/emotional growth, academic achievement and college/career readiness.

We encourage parents and students to inform counselors of any learning, health, personal and/or social problems which may effect a student’s performance. This information is treated with the appropriate professional confidentiality. This information does not become part of the student’s permanent record, nor is it sent to colleges or post-secondary institutions.

Naviance

The counseling curriculum at McAuley is supported by Naviance, a secure college search database that helps manage the college and career planning process for students and their families. Beginning in their freshman year, all McAuley students are registered and complete a Learning Styles Inventory on Naviance. Each subsequent year, students are introduced to additional tools available on the site to help them with their post-secondary planning. Students and parents can explore college, scholarships, financial aid, and summer opportunities to assist in the college application process.  To connect to Naviance Student, please click the button below.
