Summer Program For Incoming Freshmen

June 22 -July 16 (no school on July 2)
8:05 a.m.-9:35 a.m. and/or 9:45 a.m.-11:15 a.m. (If the student is not required to take both, she may opt for either time slot subject to availability.)
Any student who scores below an 80% will be placed on Academic Probation for their freshman year. Registration deadline is Monday, June 1, 2020. Early registration is encouraged to ensure the availability of your preferred time slot.
$100 per course—if you are required or it was recommended for you to take both courses, the total fee is $200.
Introduction to Algebra I
This program will prepare students for Algebra 328. Algebra 328 is a year-long course that covers solving equations, linear graphing, solving systems, evaluating expressions and exponents and polynomials. Prior to beginning this program, students must purchase the TI-84 calculator which they will use in this course, as well as in all their high school courses. Students should plan to bring their calculator (with batteries and fully charged) to class each day with their iPads, notebooks, and class handouts.
Introduction to English I
This program will prepare students for English 144. English 144 focuses on composition, grammar, reading comprehension, and vocabulary skills. In addition, the course introduces the students to major literacy genres of short story, drama, poetry, novel, essay and mythology. Students should plan to bring their iPads, notebooks, and class handouts to each class.
