The Freshman Edge Summer Program is designed to give your daughter the “edge” to begin her freshman year on the right track. The 8 day experience is designed for first year students to develop scholastic and self advocacy skills that will allow them to be successful in a more independent high school setting.
- Emphasis will be placed on highly effective study skills such as summarizing, organization, and note-taking that can be utilized in any content area.
- Specific skills in the areas of math, reading and writing will be highlighted to set the student up for a strong start to the school year and beyond.
- Instructors will provide an environment that is engaging and active such that students will be able to develop relationships with peers and faculty members
- Students will leave with a sense of success and empowerment to begin their freshman year.
