Shadow at McAuley

Shadow Days allow you to experience a day in the life of a Mighty Mac!

At McAuley, we believe experiencing a day in the life as a Mighty Mac is the best way to get to know what McAuley has to offer. Join us for the day, learn more about our curriculum, meet our teachers and be a part of MacNation!

Please note:

Please dress appropriately. Pants or skirts are acceptable but no tank tops, sweats or shorts. A free lunch pass will be provided.
Please arrive at the McAuley Main Office at 7:40 a.m. School gets out at 2:45 p.m. every day except Thursday, which has a condensed schedule and a 1:42 p.m. dismissal. Our big shadow days (October 13, 2025 and February 16, 2026) will have a 1:00pm dismissal.
All shadows will be required to follow our Bell-to-Bell Phone-Free Policy. We recommend shadows leave their phone, headphones, smart watches and other personal electronic devices at home. If they need to communicate with parents, their hostess can bring them to the Main Office. If you have any questions, concerns, or medical exceptions, please contact the Admissions Office at (773) 881-6534.
When you fill out the form below, you can request a specific McAuley student to shadow. Requests are a first come first serve basis. You are not guaranteed your hostess request.
All shadow registrations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Transfer/students currently attending another high school cannot attend a shadow day without contacting the Admissions Office. Transfer/high school students who have not been confirmed through Admissions will be sent home.
