Bernadette "Bernie" Barry Cuttone '68

Bernadette Cuttone boasts a celebrated teaching and administrative career in Catholic education. She became the first lay principal of St. Christina School in 1996. In 2005 became principal of St. Michael School in Orland Park, where she served until her retirement in 2015. Under Bernadette’s leadership, enrollment increased and a preschool program was launched. In 2013 the U.S. Department of Education recognized St. Michael as a “National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.” Beloved by former students, parents and faculty and staff, Bernadette is a past recipient of the Archdiocese of Chicago “Heart of the School Award.”
