Statement of Support
In early September, members of the Mother McAuley Administration, Board and Alumnae department invited representatives from McAuley Alumnae for Justice to share thoughts and results of their recent survey. The objective was to come together; to listen; to learn. As a result, we understand that our actions against racism begin with self-reflection, awareness and acknowledgment.
We know that we have much work to do and much to accomplish.
Anti-Racism is one of the five critical concerns of the Sisters of Mercy. We are committed to eradicating racism in our school community and as a result, becoming a catalyst for anti-racism through our FutureReady McAuley women.
Our next step is to work in partnership and progress; participating together; building on this collective energy to create authentic and sustainable outcomes.
Thank you to representatives from McAuley Alumnae for Justice for their leadership and counsel. To our McAuley women, thank you for being empathetic, inclusive and empowered to make and be the change.
