Hon. Gloria G. Coco ‘68, is the retired Supervising Judge of the Domestic Violence Section of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Appointed in 1991, Judge Coco pioneered domestic violence advocacy, overseeing thousands of cases and creating programs like the Domestic Violence Informational Series. She was also the first woman president of the Justinian Society of Lawyers, the Italian American Bar Association, and currently serves as an adjunct professor at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. In addition to her legal work, she has pursued a career in theater and film while continuing her advocacy for justice.
