We are excited to announce our tryouts for fall sports. Tryouts will begin on Monday, August 10th and go throughout the week. Practices will start the day after tryouts are complete.
All teams practice 5 to 6 times a week and all athletes are required to attend all practices and competitions. Teams will practice on weekends and over the school’s breaks. Attendance is part of your responsibility and obligation to your team and teammates.
Due to restrictions from the state and IHSA we will have to limit the number of participants on each team.
Tryouts on August 10, 2020:
Cross Country - 7:30am - 9:30am at Mother McAuley
Diving - 6:00pm - 7:00pm at Brother Rice
Swimming - 3:15pm -4:15pm for Freshman and Sophomores, 4:30pm -6:00pm for Juniors and Seniors
Golf - 7:00am-9:00am at Stony Creek (5850 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn)
Tennis - 1:00pm-3:00pm for Juniors and Seniors, 3:00pm-5:00pm for Freshmen and Sophomore at Mt. Greenwood Park (3721 W. 111th St. Chicago)
Registration will be online on our athletic website. All release forms must be submitted when you register. Please make sure that you read the forms and check the box at the bottom of each page. All students must have a current physical to tryout. Any freshmen who have not given their physicals to the school must bring one the day of tryouts.
On the top of the athletics page click on registration and create an account or login if you have an account. Go to registration and click on the sport you are trying out for. Please make sure that you read the forms and check the box at the bottom of each page. Every sophomore, junior and senior must have a current physical.
All CDC and IHSA protocols will be followed to ensure the safety of all athletes.
Safety precautions will be in place throughout the entirety of all practices and contests.
Students coming and going are required to wear a mask.
Temperature checks and symptom screening will take place daily.
Athletes must remain six feet apart at all times.
No practice or contest will have more than 50 people
McAuley coaches and athletes are asked to abide by the Chicago Travel Order. Travelers entering or returning to Chicago from states experiencing a surge in new COVID-19 cases need to quarantine for a 14-day period.
While we know that the procedures we are taking are different from what we are used to, the health and well-being of our student athletes is our top priority.
