This scholarship was established by an anonymous donor to honor an alumna of Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School who dedicated her life to education, to giving back to society, and to “paying it forward.” The scholarship will recognize students who are leaders that fully participate in the concept of “paying it forward” by using their gifts and talents as students, mentors, and active alumnae, supporting both current and future Mother McAuley students. Four (4) scholarships will be awarded to members of the class of 2024. The award amount is set at fifty percent (50%) of the annual tuition. The scholarship will be renewable for up to four years, provided the recipient remains in good standing both academically and behaviorally.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. The applicant must have taken the entrance exam at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School.
2. The applicant must be an incoming freshman. The recipient selected must have paid the required deposit and registered at Mother McAuley by the March 5^th registration day.
3. With a view to promoting the diversity of the student population, special consideration will be given to applicants who are members of a racial or ethnic minority.
4. The applicant’s family must have demonstrated financial need as determined by the submission of the 2020-2021 online FAST financial aid application.
5. The applicant must submit an essay using the prompt below. Essays must be no longer than 500 words, and must be typed in a 12-point font and double-spaced. Please do not put your name or any identifying information on your essay sheet. You will be able to upload your essay response in a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format in the online application below.
