Bequests

A gift to Mother McAuley in your will or revocable trust proclaims your confidence that we will continue to fulfill our mission and make a difference in the lives of future generations. A bequest:
  • Is easy to arrange and low-cost.
  • Does not affect your assets or cash flow during your lifetime.
  • Can be easily modified to address your changing needs.

You may designate that the school receives a specific dollar amount or a specific piece of property or a percentage of your estate.
The language is simple: "I give, devise, and bequeath to Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, Chicago, Illinois (insert the dollar amount, or piece of property, or desired percentage) in support of the school's general purposes." This is sample wording for an unrestricted bequest, which allows the school to use the gift however it is needed most, providing the school with the greatest amount of flexibility.
