Many thanks to all who spent their Thursday evening in the city with us at Celebration 2024 ! It was a full circle moment being right around the corner from the first Mercy school chartered in Chicago. What a fantastic night to rejoice in the legacy of our founder Catherine McAuley!

We were blessed to celebrate our esteemed honorees Sister Marion Johnson, RSM (Life Trustee) and Bridget Gainer '86, Nora Gainer '88, Maureen Gainer Reilly '93, Mary Gainer, MD '96, and Sheila Gainer '99 (Catherine McAuley Leadership Award Recipients) for their continued dedication to Mother McAuley and for showing compassion, leadership in the Church and society, and the ability to inspire others to service and care for others.

All proceeds from Celebration are allocated to our robust tuition assistance and scholarship program. Because of your support, we are able to make dreams come true for young women who wish to experience the Lifetime Advantage of a McAuley education.

  • $14,250 supports one year's tuition
  • $7,125 supports a Board of Trustees Scholarship, which is equal to one half tuition
  • $3,000 more than covers "the gap," or the difference between tuition charges and actual cost of education for every student
  • $1,425 supports one month's tuition
  • $1,000 supports a Catherine McAuley Service Scholarship
  • $750 supports the family discount for multiple daughters or the legacy discount
  • $275 supports a Kairos scholarship for a senior student or a work-study grant for one semester

This year, Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School was pleased to present Celebration 2024 on Thursday, February 1st at the University Club of Chicago. This event provides many opportunities for you to support McAuley students through scholarship and tuition assistance.

As one of our biggest fundraisers, Celebration is necessary in order to keep tuition affordable for all families who want their daughters to receive the lifetime advantage of a McAuley education.
